Wtf Silksong is real?
Honestly I see your point. I was sceptical at first because I like the clever wordplay of the terms but I think you’re right. Using existing terms like mystery might make genres more accessible again. Just imagine someone who’s not into gaming reading all the random ads terms and beeing completely lost.
Incredible game. Highly recommend to everyone. It’s another of those games where every piece of brilliance gets destroyed of I spoil them for you in a review
I think for OP it’s not about getting good ranks but getting through the combats. I agree tho, S-ranks are pretty hard
Apart from that combat could be broken by spamming companion abilities once you unlocked them all.
That’s the big point for me. Ive seen another one play the game this way and I agree with that the combat can be broken this way. It propably is the most effective way to get through combats but its IMO not the must fun one and does not embrace the intended gameplay flow.id even go as far as saying that this way actually works against the intended vibe and since the combat is such a mayor gameplay part of the game I can see how a dissapointing combat might ruin the whole experience for you.
This strategy is one of the prime examples for me where adapt gamers will optimize the fun out of a game because they focus on efficiency rather than fun.
I heard the forth one is close to be shown off. I don’t have high hopes but one can allways dream. Also I’m happy that the series will be fully finished like it was intended in the beginning
Oh boy I have some bad news about the third then
There was a good spoilerfree guide on the steam forum that I used to get more into the advanced stuff. But I think I’ve made all the totems without external help so maybe you’re missing something obvious
In these troubled times is good to know there is still a group of people who will reliably do the one thing these good at
Higher-Fier Rush
The visuals are soo good. Love the art direction.
I’m planning on playing the whole series including the expansion for the first one. But my fingers are really itching for the other RPG and I don’t want to pressure me into playing the expansion. Better to play Clair Obscure in between and enjoy the expansion afterwards.
So far I’m liking the game a lot. I’ve not played any in the series before but I have to say that Baldurs gate 3 seems to be the best part on the series. It’s brilliant how many great parallels can be drawn between the games and im glad for both of them
Planning to finish Dragon age 1 this week. I’m really looking forward to Clair Obscure but I’ll try to finish one RPG first
Archon Studios recently introduced a mayor new technology into the hobby with Prismcast. This “printer” basically paints curved 2,5 D surfaces which you glue together to make a fully 3D model. AFAIK there is no way to make this technology in 3D
Honesty they are pretty average for prepainted miniatures. Painted miniatures at this scale is just not something that’s easy to do or cheap.
Because you used therms like “simpler” and “one dimensional” which makes your answer seem like you look down on these games and people you enjoy them.
Also your points don’t answer his technical difficulties he had with the game.
My personal greatest game of all time. Do go on blind tho.
I think trying to fit games into genres and people disagreeing with your reasoning is incredibly bad around RPGs.
I’d argue disco elysium is a stellar example of an RPG especialls since I enjoyed role playing as someone who is incredibly far from my own mental state. A game with somehow gets me to roleplay someone so different is a prime example of a good RPG for me.
But I get how messy the term has gotten. People argue about whether Dark souls or Witcher are RPGs, where both games have arguments for it beeing an RPG. Personality I think an RPG has an adaptility in the character AND the world in response to my choices. But I can totally see how others see it differently.
For me personally I’ve set up that there are the traditional RPGs like Fallout, Baldurs gate and Pathfinder WoR. But there are also a lot of games which use a lot of similar parts of the RPG gene that I consider them RPGs aswell.
