If you’re on desktop, Alexandrite is great. The 2-column view really maximizes screen real estate.

Not much really. Separate profile on your machine or run it in a VM. Then maybe use a vpn. But that doesn’t really hide anything from zoom itself. Maybe use a throwaway email.

The measures you’ve taken are more than enough for your threat model. I think it now depends on your data hygiene. Weakest link kinda thing, where it doesn’t matter if your home network is locked down and you use privacy friendly services if you’re careless with your data anyway; which I assume you aren’t.

Specifically for online purchases like flights or hotels where you can limit the card to one time use or a max limit?English12·9 days agoWhat happens if you get a full refund on a purchase where you used a one-time card that no longer exists?

Yeah iirc Hyundai/Kia are one of the worst in the car industry when it comes to handling user data.
It does say app doesn’t collect any data which is a good sign. Obviously not 100% guaranteed but it’s in the right direction. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll give it a try.

I used to live in a tropical country and walked just a little over 1km to work. I had to wear a running shirt and change into my actual shirt when I arrived at the office because I’ll be drenched in sweat. I also had to wear a mask because of the pollution.

I assume it’s because of HIPAA requirements. The doctor is essentially recording patient information into his private Apple account. Obviously that depends on what info he was putting there. If it was just mundane stuff like scheduling, then it’s probably fine.

I don’t know if it has groups though. You might also sacrifice admin/mod capabilities. I’m not familiar how good friendica’s admin tools are (if any).

You don’t need to physically go to an office to get a sense of community. Working remotely makes it easier to get a sense of community if there are third spaces because you’re not stuck in a building for 8 hours. If your only source of community is your workplace, then you have other problems.
