I mean that you straight up cannot unlock new equipment, costumes, starting points, and the like while offline and/or disconnected from the game servers. IIRC the game just doesn’t track stage mastery without a connection.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want a game that I paid for to remain functional long term. In my case I have a copy of the Hitman trilogy in my Steam library, and as it stands when the servers for that game go offline it will become nearly unplayable just because the unlock system is reliant on the publisher’s servers. It would be easy for them to just release a patch as they decommission those servers to allow the unlock system to function offline, but right now there is no guarantee of that happening, nor any real reason to do so besides some consumer goodwill.
The following post will meander a bit as I wrote it in a kind of stream of consciousness state.
I don’t know where you heard that Super Metroid was originally a remake of the NES game, I’d never heard that and I can’t find anything to back that up. As well, keep in mind that Super Metroid came out a full decade before Zero Mission did, and the original NES game that Zero Mission is a remake of was even lighter on story than Super is. If you aren’t enjoying Super because of a lack of story that’s fine, you won’t miss much if you skip it, though I will warn you that a very common complaint about fusion is that until basically the very end the game is extremely linear. That said, I also think it’s unfair to call Zero Mission an asset flip, it’s much more a full on remake. Back to the Super Metroid thing, I will point out that the Wrecked Ship in Super Metroid is mostly not the Wrecked Ship you traverse in Zero Mission, there’s like one screen that is shared between the two games.
Lies of P is amazing how dare you.
Since when does the injury of a single child warrant the removal of an entire system?

I mean, I for one consider the innevitability of burn in to be enough of a problem that the lack of an OLED screen is an upside honestly.
You are partly correct about DS2. It did increment even by wiping without spending the souls, but on the other hand the ranges involved meant that there was very likely always someone in range.
Looks like it’s not an issue fortunately.
Aida said the new material is as strong as petroleum-based plastics but breaks down into its original components when exposed to salt. Those components can then be further processed by naturally occurring bacteria, thereby avoiding generating microplastics that can harm aquatic life and enter the food chain.
That clause was intended specifically for vehicle on vehicle incidents, I agree that if a vehicle hits a pedestrian they are always at fault.
On top of what everyone else has said, my stance in general is that anyone who harms another with their car should have their license revoked for at least 5 years if they were at all at fault, which this man certainly was being the driver hitting a pedestrian. On top of that, he’s at the age where he should probably stop driving anyway. While I don’t exactly believe this warrants jail time, especially if the driver has been as cooperative as they are saying, I do think he needs to be charged with something just to get him off the road for the foreseeable future. Outside of that though I do agree with you.
The 76-year-old driver will not face any charges.
That whole thing just sounds like a much more stupid version of ERIC, which notably Louisiana withdrew from a few years ago.
The Wii U sold poorly for many of the same reasons I expect the Switch 2 is likely to sell poorly. That is a price increase, not great marketing as far as I can tell, and it being possibly too similar to its predecessor. On the other hand, at least the switch 2 does seem to have a better lineup of launch titles than the Wii U did.
You might be allowed to pass a stopped school bus if the road has a concrete divider, but if there isn’t one of those you are’t allowed to pass it in either direction. Kids are stupid and will gladly run into traffic if they see their parent on the other side of it. Also, there isn’t really a point in stopping traffic in only one direction, with cars passing on the other side you can’t cross the road anyway.
