I’m glad gamers are finally escaping Microsoft’s grasp. The latest corporate bloatware is simply too ineffective for users that are always looking to squeeze as much oomph out of their machines as possible.

I see a lot of people in this thread reacting with open hostility and derailment every time men’s issues are mentioned. Have you tried not being a part of the problem?

The fact that Microsoft charges a subscription to word processors and spreadsheet software is nothing less than absurd. And the software itself is getting worse at every iteration

It’s simple - if your product or platform uses dark patterns, I will not use it. I will even use an inferior platform or product in order to be free to choose how I use my software.

And it’s for the better, the AAA games industry devours talent and spits out mediocrity and burnouts. I would prefer that small indie studios keep control of their creative output rather than being devoured by the money machine.

I’ve genuinely had more fun with an 80€ Anbernic loaded with old Gameboy games than any other modern console.

Do you really think schools teach critical thinking and practical knowledge? State mandated education is geared to produce people who are smart enough to run the system and stupid enough not to question it. The fact that this dullard factory is being distrupted by what is essentially an electronic parrot speaks volumes about the whole charade.

Unless you’re doing 3d animation there is really no need to have a jet engine installed in your PC.

Old video game nostalgia can be easily cured by trying to actually play them today. A lot of them have aged…poorly.

At this point I wouldn’t be suprised that some dev companies are taking Microsoft kickback money under the table. There is really no excuse for a game not to work on Linux natively on 2023.
