It can be both. The cornerstone of why nudity can be abused, is that society makes it shameful to be bare. If some generations from now that people can just shrug and not care, that is one less tool an abuser can use against people.

In any case, I am of the mind that people of my generation might be doing their own version of the Satanic Panic, or the reaction against rap music. For better or worse, older people cannot relate to the younger.

Deepfakes might end up being the modern version of a bikini. In the olden days, people wore these to the beach. Having less was scandalous and moral decay. Yet, now we wear much less.

Our grandchildren might simply not give a damn about their nudity, because it is assumed that everyone is deepfaking everyone.

Videogames are the cheapest and most durable form of entertainment, ideal qualities when you don’t have a job and resources to keep you busy. This fucker wants people to never escape being in misery.

I hope this petition succeeds. There are games and other digital media I want to experience, but corporations are dead set on just trotting out new things on their terms.

System Shock 2, one of the best horror game FPSes from the 90’s. If you liked the first two Thief games, it was made by the developers of them. Immersive simulations like Bioshock, STALKER, and Prey 2016 were inspired by this particular game. The remaster of SS2 is to be released on the 26th.

Being an open source program, the Blue States can modify it for their own taxation apparatus. The money intended for the Federal can be held in escrow, then released into service of the states if the Federal doesn’t negotiate with the Blue States in good faith.

I can see the EU funding it. This could be a measure to allow Blue States circumvent the federal system - a CaliTAX, AlohaTAX, ect. This would be vital during a civil war scenario, so that the Blue States can having working taxation systems without having to redo everything.

Earth Defence Force. Basically, you are participating in a B-movie scenario, with UFOs, kaiju, giant ants, flamethrower clams, and winged frogs. It is quite a good time, and the higher difficulties require genuine skill and cooperation.

EDF 6 is the best in the series from a gameplay standpoint, but is far weaker than 4 or 5 when it comes to the level design + narrative. Still, the QOL pushes the game to the next level, especially if you got pals to tackle the missions. There many different weapons, not just in power, but also shot pattern, reload style, knockback, and so forth. Also, there WILL be hundreds of enemies on onscreen at any given moment. Each of the four classes have very distinct characteristics when it comes to loadout, mobility, and purpose, so you should be able to find a good match for yourself.

Yup. I would have bought Persona 5 Royale and SMT V on day one, if there was no Denuvo. I normally don’t open my wallet for $60 games.

Super Robot Wars Y? Not on my radar anymore. Denuvo has cost the companies at least $300+, and I am not a rich dude.

This is the big reason why I want to hop aboard an Arch SteamOS desktop train. If I ever have to wrangle with technical issues, or goddess forbid, the terminal, I want the documentation to be there to walk me through it. My first attempt at transitioning over to Linux Mint didn’t work out, since there were technical issues that got in the way of fully replacing Windows 11.

Having reliable compatibility reduces the need for documentation, and a standardized platform for the documentation helps even more.

I am waiting for Arch SteamOS desktop to be released before trying Linux again. Hopefully sooner than later, since I want to cleanly migrate before DOGE starts to wander the halls of Microsoft.

Honestly, Denuvo makes me want to sail the high seas. When I browse Steam and see Denuvo, I mentally write off the game, saying “Might buy this in a couple of years if they fix this shit.” If the company fails to do so, the game becomes valid to pirate, far as I am personally concerned.
