It still depends on the genre and what games you are exposed to. Super Mario Bros 3 is still the best 2D platformer of all time, I am not aware of any indie game even close to the polish of SMB3.

Depends on the game. There are no indie games better than the original Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI on the SNES.
I think Skyrim feels more alive because you can talk to every NPC and most of them have unique conversations.
Most NPCs in CP2077 are animated decorations.
Wow that’s very useful for discovering games. Thanks!
Balloon Fight (NES)
Probably easier to fix than performing certain brain surgeries.
I can’t even open my wish list.
Unifi teleport. A zero configuration VPN to my home network.
Site is unreachable to me now.
This is why I am trying to decide whether to get one now or wait for the 2nd generation. If I buy one now, I will NOT be upgrading to gen 2.
Yes the Deck will be my primary gaming device, but I don’t primarily want to play modern AAA games. My gaming library will be a variety indies, AA and a few AAA games.
I don’t want to invest in a gaming laptop or desktop, I would rather use cloud gaming in the cases I need better graphics.
Good to know. Hopefully future UE5 games will be more optimised.
Is it just bad luck? I’ve watched many gaming laptop reviews and most of them seem to mention excessive fan noise. Steam Deck seems to be significantly more quiet, and the Switch 2 is essential silent.
That’s a very reasonable take. Thanks.
Yeah I have tried cleaning the fans but it doesn’t help. I think it is just not designed well for gaming use.
Thanks for sharing your experience and your straight forward answer!
I prefer to avoid everything from China, but that’s not realistic. So for now I avoid products designed/sold by a Chinese company. That includes video games created by Chinese companies.
That’s true. But I really hate the noise from my laptop. It can be heard from another room.
I never mentioned anything about “made in China”. I said “Chinese companies”.
It looks more realistic but it breaks immersion when they turn out to be not interactive.
But yes I agree that CP2077 has a realistic looking crowded city.
