Can you link to that other UK petition too pls? :)
I’m also here:
Can you link to that other UK petition too pls? :)
I’m an EU citizen living in the UK, but only signed the UK one because I’m not putting my passport ID into petitions O.o
I hated frames, but I do have a tiny bit of nostalgia for them because I started web design in the early '00s when they were all the craze for handmade blogs and portfolio sites :D
And the iframes took up like 1/4 of the screen (with miniscule faint text!) while the rest of the page were large brush swoops and other graphical elements 🥹
And the tiny navigation buttons without any text that you had to figure out from the hovered URL.
Ah it was all so fucking unusable, but pretty xD
thanks I hate it xD
By this point who in their right mind would willingly enter the USA…
I’m not saying he is making obscene money
Then I am: he is making obscene money. Converted that’s like 125k GBP, you can buy a house for cash every 3 years in the UK from that much money O.o (Ok, every 6 years if you spend half of it one living costs.) It’s almost 7 times the minimum wage here.
Obsidian backlinks from my daily notes :) Though I use it more often to track my books, as I mostly play endless live service games 😅
I can sort of use my Steam review date stamps too to track what I played, bc I review the vast majority of games I try.
Edit: and in Steam I put the finished/dropped games in their own categories, but my tag setup there is really extensive, so probably not the best example :) (I have at least 5-6 tags on each of my games.)
Actually the observer and explorer links redirect to external sites (fediverse.observer and lemmyverse.net respectively)
It would be odd to single out just the biggest server instead of letting people decide themselves; I have a feeling this exclusion is to do with .world’s users having a beef with the folks running .ml 😅 (and vice verse - join-lemmy.org seems like the official Lemmy site, so ran by the .ml ppl)
complete tangent: I see lemmy.world is listed there, but anyone knows why .world doesn’t appear on join-lemmy.org’s list of servers?
Some users don’t have the time to block, simply conclude “this is a hostile environment” and leave.
This exactly.
As the anecdote puts it, once you start tolerating Nazis in your bar, it becomes a Nazi bar.
They poison the space, and the regular folks leave.
The operators of «Archive.Today» do not open their identity. Neither an impressum nor a data protection declaration can be found on the website.
I won’t link to it, but the owner has been thoroughly doxxed, and his name and contact details are freely available in search engines. He’s very likely a Czech guy of Russian descent living in the USA.
nightmare fuel
Thanks, actually I was already using it for backing up my Gmail inbox, so now I looked at its search features, and found the Expression (Power) Message/Calendar Search - NG addon that provides Gmail-like filtering :)
Not sure if Inkscape works the same, but this game helped me when I was struggling with drawing curves in Adobe Illustrator.
I understand it’s not a forum (though tbh I can’t remember a welcome tour, but it was more than a decade ago, so could have just forgot), but even with that I just find the whole atmosphere kinda cold and elitist. Not a community that invites participation, like Wikipedia does. But each to our own :)
thanks, I’ll check them out!
Sounds like it’s an opt in, what am I missing
Because it’s a clear step on the enshittification slide. It’s opt in for now.
Btw (sort of just thinking out loud) could paying for an email domain be a solution? I see many webhosts offering email + domain packages for like 1-3 GBP/month, and we could just download the emails into, say, Thunderbird, so if a company turns shit, we still have the domain and all the emails received/sent over the years.
Do any other email services/clients have a very similar search function? Where I can search for date ranges and email sizes in addition to the more typical operators.
At my workplace I have to deal with Outlook, and it’s a pile of crap in comparison.
Ah sorry I misunderstood your comment then, I thought there was another one besides that.
