Nabbed: Ninja Gaiden Collection, Auto Modellista, DOA6
Bonus game: Not really on sale (10% off) but Burggeist after seeing it in the new Iron Pineapple video. I’m a sucker for games inspired by Team Ico.

Thank you, Nintendo!
If Donkey Kong doesn’t have a rap in this game I’m going to riot
This is the 2nd video MVG has done on back compat. See the other one here.
James Bond games have a storied and mixed pedigree. It’s been a long time since the highs of Goldeneye N64 and Nightfire on PS2!
I’m always kind of rooting for them to be good but I’ve not bought any for decades.
I didn’t realise Bomb Rush Cyberfunk had an option to toggle the 30FPS framerate limit. Can confirm it’s playing buttery smooth on my Switch 2 now.
Not sure why the preview is broken. Let me know if the link is also not working and I can try to edit it with a new one.
I think its a pun because Japanese doesn’t have a distinct ‘r’ sound so the title can be read as “Bravely Default” or “Bravery Default”… not sure if it’s intentional!
The game is from square enix who did all the Final Fantasy series. Pretty similar to FF5 in some ways. There is a “default” mechanic in combat which the title is referring to.
mpv is worth a shout out as well
They’ve made a good start by naming it 2 so people realise it’s a new console instead of an add-on (like many did with wii-U)
Still a long way to go to match the 100+ million Switch 1 units sold. I got a Switch 2 but I’ve bought every Nintendo console including Wii-U so I’m not particularly representative.
I looks like it only allows 1 virtual machine at a time so docker-compose wouldn’t work
I also found it underwhelming which is a shame because I generally love Obsidian RPGs. They did a much better job with Avowed recently in my opinion.
To be honest even matrix has too many features for me as a discord alternative. I’ve got my IRC channels that I’m keen on and I hang out on those every day.
Realise I’m probably unusual for being happy with 90s tech though!
I thought the rustc package bootstrapped itself like gcc does?
I don’t think I’ve ever lost more time than I’ve gained in knowledge from the mistakes, if that makes any sense.
Never lost any money with linux.
Nothing could get me to switch off gentoo at this point. It’s so flexible that you can use package managers from other distros (if you’re crazy and like to create problems for yourself). Creating your own packages is very easy with their ebuild system. In terms of the packages they offer the USE flags are an absolute killer feature that let you install only the parts of the program you want. They even have binary versions of larger programs like firefox or rust that you can install if you don’t want to compile them.
At least switch 2 has a “2” to indicate it’s a new console and not an add-on
Weasling out of things is what separates us from the animals… except the weasel of course.
I got the light version of this as a joke birthday present. It plugs into a USB slot and makes an anemic light source. Haven’t used it much in summer but it might have some limited utility in winter.
