Yeah, no I’m aware of their history. More to the point it has little to nothing to do with Bazzite being negatively effected by Fedora dropping support for 32 bit. It’s not like 32 bit Fedora systems are keeping American immigrants from being deported and by deprecating them IBM is returning to their Nazi roots
I mean companies by definition surrender to power for the sake of profit. I don’t see how that makes them any better or worse than any other company that functions under our current system

As someone who’s taken the train there a couple times I’d say the core downtown area is pretty walkable, but everywhere else def needs a bike or bus setup
I totally agree but even the better part of the states aren’t 100% car free. Which unfortunately puts us in this akward transition period where both parking and public transit kinda suck. That in turn does make it hard to win people over
That said my partner and I were able to sell my car and rely solely on her’s after moving to the city. I basically never have to drive anymore. So it’s definitely making an impact
Ah yeah. Would be unfortunate. Bazzite was the least amount of setup i’ve ever had to do with linux and is the only repo I could recommend to someone non-technical

I abuse the eye contact thing all the time. If I’m crossing the street and someone is coming in too fast I just stare at them deadass the whole time. Always gets them to slow down

I’m talking about quantity not the popularity of a given language. There are certainly a number of popular languages that follow that convention
oh for sure, but I think that’s the rarer case for language implementions. Having a consistent structure with alternative keywords in static positions is just easier to develop an AST for. Personally my favorite language doesn’t even allow for const values (except by convention) so it’s really just a matter of preference
Because sometimes that let can be replaced by other things like const. Which can be managed statically by the machine and not by my (imperfect) ability to know if it’s mutated or not
As an anecdote I can attest to this personally. I stopped using AI assistance tools for my work bc I noticed I’d stopped thinking about what I was doing
