The problem is that when a bubble pops and exposes the problem, the government leaders should take the opportunity to fix the problem so it doesn’t happen again.
Instead they bail them all out, so there are not only no consequences to their actions, they are literally rewarded with unimaginable wealth. What about this strategy would induce them to change their ways, over doing it all over again, and getting rewarded again?
If that’s really true, then we should all sign up.

Why isn’t the roof of that facility covered with solar panels? It might not provide all the juice they need, but it will offset some. Future facilities like this should be forced to install some sort of energy mitigation strategy before getting approval.

I had that revelation 30 years ago, and I’ve been mostly self-employed since. Even in those times when I wasn’t, I was still working for my own benefit, not anyone else’s. Those jobs didn’t last long. I can only work for myself. I’m a good boss, I get away with everything.

Prices always rise, that’s life. But when I can get equal service at half the price, I’m taking the cheaper option. I need the money more than some evil transnational corporation.

I just quit Verizon after nearly 20 years with them. Their service got worse and worse, and their prices kept rising. I switched to T-Mobile, and the service is about the same, but it’s less than half the price.
This isn’t Switzerland, this is America, and we’re at WAR with our politicians. If we see them in public, we will DEMAND answers, and they WILL provide them. If they don’t like it, then either stop acting like a hypocritical shithead, or stop taking performative trips on public transport to demonstrate how woke you are. If you are an American politician, you should be confronted publicly, and if you don’t like it, stop supporting policies that you can’t defend, or stay hidden. When I was a kid in the 60s, during the school year, I walked a mile to and from school, starting at age 5.
On weekends or summers, I would eat breakfast, jump on my bike, and not be back until dinner at 5 (The Rule). I had no ID, no money, no phone, no watch, no water, no food, nothing. And my mom had no idea where I was, either.
If I got thirsty, I’d knock on a door, and ask for a glass of water, and always got one. If I needed to know what time it was, I’d ask someone. I got pretty good at judging the time of day by the setting sun, and could always get home before 5. I never felt unsafe, as long as I could avoid the Robolotto brothers.
