Winnipeg is one of the most carbrained places on earth
For the last 40 years pedestrians were not allowed to cross their main downtown intersection until THIS SUMMER
Which is a shame because it’s quite beautiful if it werent blighted by cars. The irony is that the city’s prosperity in the past was based on it’s strategic railway position, and they replaced all the rail and trams with cars.
Main and portage you mean? yeah there aren’t any crosswalks, but there’s an underground mall with a hall that spans underneath that whole intersection.

Update: I ran over a screw and got a flat tire

Right hooks are the exact reason I take the lane going through intersections, EVEN IF THERE IS A BIKE LANE.
